Find out if you can switch your number (land line or cell) to Vogenic by entering it into the availability selector to the right and we'll instantly tell you if your number is transferable.
Keep in mind that if your phone number is connected to your DSL connection, you need to take additional steps to transfer your number to us. If you want to keep your DSL connection, check with your current phone service provider to see if they offer "naked DSL". If so, they can unbundle your phone number from your DSL service allowing you to transfer the number without problem. If your current provider does not offer that service, check with your local cable company as most cable operators offer higher speed Internet connections at a more competitive price.
How do i transfer my number to Vogenic?
Existing Vogenic customers should contact us for assistance in porting your number(s) to your existing account.
- Select your Vogenic service. You can port a number and add it to any one of our plans.
- During your order process you will be asked if you want to port your existing number.
- After your order is completed you will be asked to complete an online form, and provide a few pieces of documentation to Vogenic.
- You will be issued a temporary number to use while you wait for your port request to complete.
What if my number isn't portable?
In some rare instances, we may be unable to transfer your number to Vogenic. You may, in this case select a new incoming number with an area code of your choice.
How long does the process usually take
The transfer process may take up to 30 days. This is usually dependant on how fast your current telephone company processes the request.
What happens while I'm waiting for the number to be transferred?
During the number transfer process, we will provide you a temporary number so you can begin to enjoy our services and all of it's features. Once the transfer completes we will inform you via email and your temporary number will be replaced with the one that was ported.
